I’m Taymour Nakib — a director and writer based in New York City, committed to crafting bold, emotionally resonant stories that reflect the complexities of identity, memory, and human connection.

My work is rooted in character and mood, often blending realism with psychological tension. I focus on visual storytelling, using minimal dialogue and purposeful framing to explore internal conflict in an external world.

In addition to writing and directing, I bring experience in casting and production, having led the casting process for multiple short films and served as Assistant Director on set. These roles have deepened my understanding of performance, collaboration, and the logistics behind telling a story well — all of which inform my approach as a filmmaker.
